Its not known how or why it happened or why did they destroy it. Could returned back to themselves maybe. Would they want to returned back to their old selves, that is one of the question that need to be answered. Then there would be a reason of it, Or can it be destroy by plan old fire.
I agree. But unfortunately they were selfish enough to only have their own pleasure in mind. Or perhaps there was a curse that needed to be lifted. Who knows?
